During this time when we’re at home more than usual and swimsuit season feels nowhere in sight.. it can be tempting to turn toward our favorite gluttonous meals and treats for comfort. 🤷🏼♀️ I’m here to challenge you to #HEALTHIFY your comfort food, and I promise it’s easier than it may seem 🤗 For this #healthified baked ziti, it was as simple as switching from enriched noodles to whole grain (I often use high protein varieties like @eatbanza chickpea pasta as well). 💪🏼 I also used a #nosugaradded marinara sauce instead of one with sugar or high fructose corn syrup in the ingredients.. you’d be surprised where that pesky extra sugar hides, so always read your labels when shopping! 🍅 In case you missed the recipe in our insta stories yesterday, I gotchu 😘 DM me pics when you make it and tag @allinspiredwellness in your creations! Cook noodles according to package directions. When noodles are cooking, brown meat and stir in the marinara sauce at the end. Drain noodles and add them to the meat mixture, then pour everything into a large baking dish. Sprinkle with cheese and broil in the oven until the top is golden brown. Serve with a big green salad for a micronutrient balanced meal and enjoy!
